I currently have a Intel Extreme Tech Processor @ 3.73 Ghz on a Intel 925XE Board (aka Dell XPS Gen 4). It's running Vista without any issues; better than I expected actually!

what I would like to do is upgrade it to a Dual Core processor. Is it even possible to go from a Single Core to Dual Core? Does the BIOS need to be told, or would it "see" it on its own?? :dunno:

Any help would be appreciated! :wavey:

Just make sure your board supports dual core. If it does then I don't see why it would be a problem.

pretty sure you need a 945 chipset or newer to support any dual-core.

Such is life...I suppose we'll see how well the EE holds up long-term then.

    Thanks y'all!
