At what temperature does my Athlon 1.3ghrz processor kill it self or cause illreversible damage?
I wouldn't let it go over 160 deg. F. [That is the highest setting on my motherboard's thermal alarm.]
what is that in deg C?
i dont let my 1800+ (OC to 2100+) go over 75C
it stays at a nice 57C w/ a Volcano 6+cu
71.11 deg. C.
my amd xp 1700 OC'd to a 1900 with a volcano 7 stays around 42* C
i have it set if it goes over 50* C it shuts itself down
well i have the thunderbird 1.33ghz, I live in Thailand, andmine runs at about 65 C, on Full load. THe secret is a good heat sink..
Im using the an ALPHA heatsink.. never had any problems..
I would keep it around 50 C to 60C. That's probably the most ideal condition
