Processor temp question

    At what temperature does my Athlon 1.3ghrz processor kill it self or cause illreversible damage?

    I wouldn't let it go over 160 deg. F. [That is the highest setting on my motherboard's thermal alarm.]

    what is that in deg C?
    i dont let my 1800+ (OC to 2100+) go over 75C

    it stays at a nice 57C w/ a Volcano 6+cu

    my amd xp 1700 OC'd to a 1900 with a volcano 7 stays around 42* C

    i have it set if it goes over 50* C it shuts itself down

    well i have the thunderbird 1.33ghz, I live in Thailand, andmine runs at about 65 C, on Full load. THe secret is a good heat sink..

    Im using the an ALPHA heatsink.. never had any problems..

    I would keep it around 50 C to 60C. That's probably the most ideal condition
