I have been looking into an ibook just to have and I had a question on speed. I want an ibook mainly for browsing the internet, AIM, and a little bit of music. That is probably just it right there. Just something to bring to school to take notes faster. What is the slowest processor speed I will be able to have and still get great results from. I was thinking maybe how are the 600-800mhz? do they run tiger well osx just fine and smooth? what will be a problem? Thanks alot! also if anyone has an ibook for sale hit me up :x:

hit up ebay for old G4 ibooks. they will run everything you have described just fine and should be relatively inexpensive now that the macbooks are out.

I'd go with a 1ghz g4 minimum. My 1.33 G4 spikes up to about 90% cpu just with youtube videos :ugh2:

My macbook only goes up to about 18%
