Does anyone know if there is a program or way to detect if a particular processor is being ran on a PC system? More specifically I have software sending to people but this software will not work on a 64-bit processor. It would be nice before the set up begins that it checks for this condition and if is true would display a message that the program will not install. Thanks for any ideas.

Check the environment variable is one way. You can access it a number of ways via vbs, batch, or any other language you'd like. Type "set" at a command prompt and see various processor related variables. PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=x86 is what I check for.

Now that you mention it, I've used that before. It works well.

Thanks for your help guys. I hate dealing with these shitty products put out by our company. Hopefully this will prevent a lot of problems.
