so i have a firewall at my school, and it wont let me use most programs that access theinternet besides http protocal programs. I cant use anything like Visual Route, and i have tried the program http-tunnel from www.http-tunnel.com and it seems like the program is blocked, even though it goes through regular http ports. is there any way to check what kind of firewall is set up and what the hell its blocking (because it doesnt seem to be just ports)?

  2. First of all try to fin the IP of your school proxy.. after that ... check wat ports are open on it.... it should be one for sdministration... so hit it... and you will know.....

I'm not going to contribute to this thread because you are trying to break established rules. Read this thread. There are reasons that admins have locked your network down, and given that, there is probably even a usage policy that could result on you being expelled from campus.

Just think - if they have locked all the ports down, maybe they monitor as well.

Maybe try to redirect this thread in a more proper direction and you may get the help you are looking for.
