I'm trying to copy all of my dad's music on his (my) old 2g 10gb ipod to a new 60gb ipod video for fathers day, but i'm having trouble getting the ipod to connect to my computer. I connected a mini 1394 firewire cable to the computer, with the regular end in the ipod. Nothing is happening to the ipod or my drive list. Can you not transfer files with a mini firewire cable?

Edit: According to http://support.apple.com/ , you should be able to use it, but the iPod must have enough power in it's battery to power on. You will also have to manually press the select button to power on the iPod for it to be recognized by the PC.
