So i bought 2 sticks of ram (each one is 1 gig)
I removed my old ram and inserted new one. When i booted up the computer, my monitor remained in the suspend mode and nothing would appear on the screen. The power button would not turn off the computer either I was like wtf
So I removed the new ram and stuck back the old one but the same problem would occur. I do not know what happened but I hope my motheboard didnt die on me. Then again why would it dieafter i just inserted the new ram. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

It almost sounds like you forgot to power off your PC before pulling out the memory. :) But I'd start with reseating all the connectors on the system board. If that doesn't cut it then go with trying another power supply.
