hey guys, I'm pretty new here, but i figure i might as well start posting - better than just eating up the bandwidth by lurking.
    on to my problem...

when i turn my computer off, or try to restart it usually takes many attempts to finally get it up and running. The screen either stays black, its getting a signal,b ut there's no display, or it stalls on the motherboards splash screen (so i dont even have the option to get into the BIOS). I really really hope the motherboard isn't going bad. I know when it finally does boot it sometimes displays a message about overclocking failed...but i never initiated overclocking on anything. Suggestions?
    thanks!

good call, i didn't think of vid. card. that would make sense too, its a tv tuner card that no longer has the ability to tune the tv.

its a few years old, the mother board is an Asus
    intel pentium 4 3.0 Ghz w/ HT
    1 GB ram
nvidia tuner card 64mb ...it was terrible from the start, i should have known better than buying it

ill let you know if that fixes the prob as soon as i get a new one
