just reformatted my dell laptop and now i have a problem with my volume setting. the "wav" setting keeps going to the highest volume every time i close out the volume box. no matter how many times i keep changing it.. every time i play a new song or close the box it always goes back to the highest volume. what the hell is going on. i reinstalled the driver and everything and it still wont stop.

    thanks

Well there's more than one way to affect the wav slider - the player itself can as well.

When you reinstall Winamp, dig around in the settings and disable the built-in volume control.
