A&P problem with SLR camera i jus tbought

    i bought a nikon n5005 and i dont knwo whats wrong w/ it... the light on top keeps flashing in succession and it wontl et me take a picture... this would be my second SLR...

    I have a Sony DSCf-717 for my digital prints and i figured id get this for hardcopy prints. Please help me figure whats wrong w/ it... i think the lens might be broken... anyone know if all 35mm lenses are universal

    which light? I'm not too familiar, but maybe check to see if you're self timer is set :dunno:

    need more specifics. nikon cams will all accept a nikon f-mount and some 3rd party manufacturers

    are you taking these photos at night or in low light situations? Some cameras have a light that helps the camera focus.

    any particular mode(s) when it happens? If you're in P(rogram) or S(hutter prioirty) you need to have the lens stopped down all the way so the camera can control the aperture. If it's not closed down it'll throw you an error.

    Are you using a lens supported by the camera?
