problem with ram

    i have a powerbook.(one of the older 400mhz ones) and its got a 256 stick and a 128 stick in there for memory, but its only reading the 128 as a 64.

    anyone have any ideas?

    have you tried running the Hardware inspection CD that came w/ the mac?

    sounds like a case of bad RAM.

    Also, is the Powerbook a G4 or G3?
    I forget what the slowest G4 was :o

    G3. dont have the cd as it was bought second hand....
