problem with macbook... any advice?

    so my macbook shut off on me about 2 weeks ago, it didn't happen again, now today shuts off on my about every 15 mins turn it back on shuts off about 15 mins. it is pluged in and on the battery, have not drop it or anything please help me

    it has always been hot.... it hasn't been on long i just turned it on this morning and it started happening... i ran the hardware test on the mac os install cd and there are no errors

    If there is an apple store anywhere near you, take it in and have them take a look. If not, call Apple support and have it sent in. A week wait is worth the fixing of a 15 minute shut off appointment.

    kinda a dumb question but will a apple store look at it because i didn't buy the applecare but it should be covered by the 1 yr warrenty?

    Yes. They will look at it even if you are out of warranty. Now if they can't fix it in the store with the knowledge they have, they will mail it in so the hardware can be reviewed. Unless you do the damage yourself, the 1 year warranty will cover these repairs as well. If you are outside this time period and do not have applecare (which you can still buy at any time during that first year), you will have to pay for the repairs.

    ok so after of weeks of being lazy i finally brought my macbook in 2 weeks ago just got it back yesterday.... they replaced my logic board, heat sink, topcase, keyboard and battery. it feels like a new macbook again
