Problem with hardware

Discussion in 'OT Technology' started by Mr. Thermistor, Oct 13, 2005.

  1. I have a MSI 865PE Neo3 and processor. I don't know if these work. I'm using a PCI Geforce 4.
The machine won't boot, nothing is displayed on screen. Fans spin, the processor is warm. The motherboard is supposed to need a new bios.

    What could be the problem?

  3. Socket 775. No codes at startup. I've tried two processors.

Remove everything besides the CPU and RAM, then clear the CMOS.

Make sure your system speaker is hooked up.

And if you hear any beeps at all, it's the video card.

try the BIOS man, i had a problem with that when i installed my radeon due to the motherboard having a builtin video card, changing inside the bios worked for me....or maybe you could try to turn the monitor on if you haven't yet?

  6. I'm thinking the motheboard is fried. But if that were the case, it wouldn't power on at all would it? Maybe both processors were bad?
