A few days ago i decided to get rid of my linux partition. I figured that if i simply deleted the partition off of my D drive it would all be gone, however, now when i try to boot into windows it goes into a command line thing, and i dont know how to boot to windows. It says something about being able to use bash scripting. Is there any way i can get into windows just so i can backup my files before i format?

Just boot to your windows CD, if it is a windows NT system (2000/XP) go to the recovery console and type in "fixmbr."

If you are running a 9x system, boot to the floppy disk and type in "fdisk /mbr"

    Both should fix your problem
