Okay bit of background, found a guy seeling a old Suzuki GS 125 for next to nothing, but it comes with no V5 or number plate.
Ive been told by the DVLA its simply the case of getting it MOT'd and insured, after that they can send me the log book.
All i have is the chassis number

Is there anyway to check weather this bike is lost/stolen just by using the chassis number? ta

go to the dmv and ask...

if you don't feel comfortable or not sure, tell the guy to meet you at the dmv and do the whole transaction in front of someone there.

hm, not sure, never really had that problem...i'll google and brb :big grin:

    edit:
appears to be state to state diffrences. as raider said, check your local dmv to see what applies to you locally. gl/

MOT makes me think he's in the UK, so it's not a state by state thing

yeah im on the other side of the pond.
worried that the bike is old enough not to actually have a VIN, just the chassis number
