i live in northern virginia and want to know if there's any kind of paperwork involved with trading a gun from a private party?

AFAIK - which is very little, obviously - i can just meet and trade

    amirite?

  3. A brief search on the subject of FTF sales in VA shows that there's no required paperwork at all.

the CZ just isn't comfortable to wear. i love it, but i think that ya'll convinced me on Glock's God Status. plus it's a SC while the P-01 isn't.

I would get a bill of sale. Not required, but something I always get.

Yep, always write up a bill of sale, get details from DL or CCW. Covers your ass and theirs if there is an 'issue' later.

edit: you might want to check the NSN as well :mamoru:

What holster do you have for CZ? I say skip that glock and go for something real small like CW9, pf9 or p11.

Florida is the same way, you can just sell person to person if you want. I called a Sheriff to double check, he said it might be worth my while to call in and have them run the serial number of the gun I'm getting, to make sure it wasn't involved in a crime or reported stolen.
