What is more cost efficient a laser or multi-function inkjet printer? I kinda would like to have a scanner but it's not essential.

really depends on what you print. I went from a HP laserjet to an Epson all-in-one. The Epson is an amazing printer, and I couldn't imagine going back now. However, the LaserJet was a much cheaper solution with the long-lasting and relatively inexpensive toner cartridges.

Of course, print quality and feature-sets are so much better in the inkjet all-in-one's.

I've got the RX500 if it matters. I'd definitely buy it again.

... if you bought a printer, then why did you ask about opinions? Sounds like your mind was made up.
