This is from wikipedia, so a questionable source at best, but still good for discussion. If even a few of these matchups are on the card it'll be worth buying the ppv imo:eek3:

Wanderlei Silva vs. Ricardo Arona (most credible of the rumors)*Title Fight*

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua

(Many think this should be Fedor vs. Mirko Crocop, but Crocop and Dream Stage Entertainment want that fight to happen in February in the United States)

    Paulo Filho vs. Denis Kang

Kazuo Misaki vs. Den Henderson *Title Fight*

Takanori Gomi vs Joachim Hansen *Title Fight*

    Shinya Aoki vs Gilbert Melendez

Josh Barnett vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

    Mirko Filipovic vs Mark Hunt

Mike Tyson vs Butterbean *Boxing Rules*

They shouldn't have Fedor vs. Cro Cop in Vegas with modified Pride rules, in my opinion...also why should we have to see Cro Cop fight Hunt again..bleh.

i think shogun will lose general credibility if he loses to fedor...look what happened to silva after he lost to hunt and crocop

I don't think he lost a lot of cred for losing to Hunt, but when he was KO'd cold by Mirko who actually weighed less at the event, I think he lost some cred for sure

I dont think you can lose credibility when you lose to the eventual champ, number 2 fighterin the world. its like saying Mirko lost all cred. when he got beat by Fedor.

i know most educated mma fans don't really hold that against silva...but that's why i said general credibility...silva's credibility was at an all time high after he beat rampage the 2nd time for me...he seemed unstoppable...i can definitely say it's not the same as it was back then

    hunt vs mirko = meh
barnett vs nogueira = didnt we just see this? it will be the same fight, could go either way again.

rest of the card though sounds pretty damn good to me.
but whats the reason for arona getting the shot again? hes one of my favorite fighters, but he hasnt fought since his last loss to Wandarlei... and I know about the fight with Overeem but that doesnt count.

if anything, they're gonna add a judoka to that card
Either: Nakamura (plz!!!), Yoshida (probably), Nastula or Lombard.

Even though Yoshida's wayyyy outclassed in HW, he's probably gonna be fed a can so the Japanese fans can go home hapily.

    Looks good

I dont think Aleks will go to the UFC he would win the title and well a middle of the road HW in Pride being UFC champion might be a bad idea for the UFC.

I think that Nog holds a fair amount of clout with the DSE officials and he probably got that rematch becaue he wanted it. I would look for him to come in and do very well

Not if pride wants to do another US show. Too bad, he was quickly becomming a favorite fighter of mine. Facing Nog, Aleks and Barnett within your first 4 fights is no easy task, and he looked really good against barnett until he got subbed.

I'll have to see it to believe it... This sounds too good to be true, albeit PRIDE really likes to DELIVER for its fans.
