I've been wondering about Zuffa's pull in the Vegas area and this show. The way they operate, I would think they'd pressure certain local groups and people to make things harder for Pride to pull off a sharp event.

yeah I was thinking "I wonder if dana would have agreed to let wand come and fight in the cage if he knew pride would very soon be competing on their home turf?"

Nevada and California haven't approved 10-minute rounds still though, right? they're still going to be 5-5-5 as far as i remembered :sad2:

Alot of the fighters in Pride, especially the ones mentioned, have fought in other organizations. I don't think round length or rules changes will really affect the quality of the matches.

why won't fedor, cro cop and shogun fight in the US?

there are lots of Baroni fans, including myself

Coleman hasn't been in the UFC since 1999. he's pretty much fought only in pride since...what makes you think that he's back in the UFC?

chances are pride will want their best fighters in there to debut in america, why bothering if you're not gonna have the best fighters there? Nobody would want to see it if they didn't have anybody big fighting

i dunno about shogun, but i thought that i had read an article saying pride will have fedor fighting 2 times this year, defending his title on new years and one other time before that.
