Do they charge you per item that you transfer, or per order?

I'm about to order 3 stripped lowers, and 3 stripped uppers (these don't require an FFL, amirite?) and was wondering if I was going to have to pay a transfer fee for every lower.

I believe it's 3 or 4 items per form. FFL holders can charge what they want. My dealer didnt charge me any extra when I had a pistol and stripped lower transferred to me.

How much are you paying for the lowers?

    It's Mega lowers, and uppers. $120-lowers. $95-uppers

I'm probably going to buy them through Carrico'z armory. I'll order as soon as they get some uppers back in stock.

Ask to be sure but mine charges me 1 fee for everything that comes in the same box as long as it fits on the form.

You may seriously want to check out a local shop and see what they can get. I was going to order lowers and have them transferred, but can find them locally for only about $15/more per lower and then there is no transfer fees, so I actually come out ahead.

FFLs will just charge what they want, often its per item. Though they might give a deal, like one near me does $30 for one, then $20 for the second and $10 for each one after that.

The guy I use, charges 20 for a transfer and 5 for each additional item after that.

Austin, let me know if you find a local FFL that won't rape you on transfer fees. New Albany and Black Wing are both retarded expensive because they don't want to mess with it. I need to order some AK receivers but haven't strictly because I don't want to spend $60 per transfer at Black Wing.

Oh yeah, you can buy AR lowers local for about that same price, and not have to pay for transfer. Uppers don't require FFL so order from wherever.

I have found it's almost always cheaper to buy locally instead of doing the transfer... unless you're getting a killer deal on the receivers/firearms.

Did a transfer today. Total $35.

I believe that for long guns you can do one transfer for an unlimited amount. For handguns it's one per transfer. Though each FFL can do whatever and charge whatever within the Federal or state law.
