When I got a new box I copied a ton of stuff to a backup drive and when I attmpted to re-copy to the new hd in the new box I found that a lot, I mean A LOT of it is inaccessable. Suggestions? :x:
Folders/files are perm. read only, popup says access is denied.

Sounds more like an NTFS permissions issue. Take ownership of the folders and give yourself full control.

Yeah, the "Access Denied" thing means the files are marked as belonging to a user that the new computer doesn't know about. You need to log in as an administrator on your new computer and override the ownership on every file on the old drive, so you can access them again.
