Local guy, just met him through somebody else. Said all this stuff about how hondas are great and how "We'll race once you get a honda" and all this other shit about how I'm wasting my time even driving a neon (I am, I told him that, but he kept at it). Anyway, the car supposedly runs [email protected] (I think that was the mph he said). Slicks, t3/t06 turbo @18psi, FMIC, fully built bottom end (said it dynoed 385whp), etc. All in that ricemachine. Guy kept telling my friend how his civic is also a complete waste of time, and I just wanted to slap the shit out of him and remind him that he's in a 2900lb FWD which is only faster b/c he threw another $20k at it, but then I realized that I don't know ANYBODY that could beat that time.

I'm sad. :wtc: Please tell me it's BS.

debateable. Anything's possible with enough $.

I've personally never seen anything faster then a low 12 for a stock chassis prelude.

I dunno. to run that fast you need more than 385 HP. the corvette z06 with 405 HP, rear wheel drive, etc etc etc runs a mid 12? the 2003 Mustang Cobra runs a similar mid to high 12 with an underrated 385 HP? Now you are talking about a FWD car with the same HP running 11's? I doubt it

this is bullshit for sure. i am semi local and have devoted a lot more time than i should have into finding the fastest prelude. 1st the 5th gen prelude is to heavy to put that out. it weighs>3000lbs. the fastest streetable prelude in PA is Owned by a guy named Chuck from Harrisburg. its a 4th gen SI turbo. it only gets to mid 12s. 4th gens are a few hundered pounds lighter also. everyone knows that 4th gens got the speed 5th gens got the styling.
