OKay well it is my last month of pregnancy and I have gained 31 pounds thus far. How many mommy's out there have gained more or less than me and how many lost it all. Any pointers or tips and I already know breastfeeding is the number one tip. Anyone who can and does not do it is stupid. You burn mad calories and it is way better for your baby. But any other tips or suggestions? Anyone gain way more or way less than 31? I feel sooo fat I hate it. ~ Thanks

I gained exactly 30 lbs. Lost 20 by the time I left the hospital. Was back in size 1 jeans 2 months later. Nursing is the BEST diet in the world. I wish I never quit :o

I remember reading somewhere that healthy weight gain during a pregnancy should be 25-35 lbs.

Yes, it also depends on your pre-pregnancy weight. If you are underweight to begin with you should gain more. If overweight, then less. I was 110 lbs when i got pregnant, my dr told me to gain 40-50 lbs. I said fuck that :o

I believe my ex-wife gained about 35-40lbs with each child. But my children were 10.3 lbs and 9.5 lbs respectively...

Nursing will help you burn off twice as much weight allot fast...it also heals the body and is much better for the childs health (he/she will get your immunities) also proven to give the child a higher I.Q.... In short nursing is the way... Aside from that, 30-40 pounds isn't bad...don't sweat that. And by the time they hit two, you'll be getting enough excersise! :hs: (I had two...have a little baby wieght from #2, but gained nearly 50lbs)Congratulations, btw
