Ok I have my nipples pierced (I've had them done for a while now) and now I'm pregnant. I noticed that occasionally they start to ache....is that normal?

It happens. Also, if you've got your navel pierced, you might want to consider switching to PTFE until the child's born....but that's only if you've got a navel piercing.

PTFE? *sorry for my ignorance :)* I had also wondered about the belly button issue.

PTFE is teflon, just like the tape, except in bar form. It's an inert material so won't cause any reactions. It's flexible, and squishy if i remember correctly. Less likely to put stress on the piercing when you get bigger.

Putting it in nipples also probably wouldn't be a bad idea, though I don't know if the rapid increase in breast size would have any affect on the shape of the hole, or the wiggliness would cause rubbing

Most belly buttons turn inside out during pregnancy. That kid takes up a lot of room. Last thing you want is a torn belly button

Because of how the belly gets larger - sometimes it'll push the ring right out, tearing the skin. That, and it looks bad.

I took out my navel ring when I started trying to get pregnant so that I wouldn't have some big gaping hole. It totally healed up by the time I got pregnant. I got no stretch marks (on my belly....) so I'll probably get it done again.

well when i went through my pregnancies, your breasts are going to be extremely sore no matter what. I dont know if you plabn on breast feeding, but i have also heard of it blocking the milk glands. i dunno the specific term but i have heard of it messing up the process
