Pre/Post Cardio Shakes?

    Typically I have a small shake before and after cardio (careover habit from bulking) but I was just thinking that to try and burn as much fat as I can that I shouldn't. Am I on the right track or out to lunch?

    its not a big shake, 1/4 cup oats, 1/2 scoop gatorade and 1 1/2 scoops of protein.

    plus teh majority of cardio is brisk walking with some HIIT at the end

    The only time I have a "pre-workout" shake before cardio is if I'm doing my cardio first thing in the morning, in which case I don't want to be working out on an empty stomach.

    Otherwise I just do my best to plan my cardio about 45 minutes to an hour after a regular whole food meal.

    If I'm doing slow plodding cardio I don't do a post-workout meal at all. If I'm doing HIIT I'll usually do a scoop of dextrose whey mix or something else fairly sugary with a little protein in it, but not nearly as much as I'd have after lifting.

    it takes a long time to type when you have stubby little fingers :mamoru:

    Take your shake in at least 30min after cardio
