So a quick story - Mid-summer I was diagnosed with colitis, I've come to the conclusion I got it from a BAD BAD attack of food poisoning back in december of last year - so my diet was restricted from this, I have weighed in at 166lbs solid, steady for the past 4 years, colitis issues made me drop around 6lbs to 160lbs or so. Top on the fact I had wisdom teeth out late august before school, pain killers made a masacre of my digestive system, combined with colitis symptoms those were the WORST two weeks of my life, beginning of school I was down at least 5 lbs - so much so people were telling me I look unhealthly and skinny after just those two weeks. I went on a very restricted diet to combat colitis symptoms, and after reading a lot of stuff on OT (THANKS!) I have restricted my diet even further. In addition, I started going to the gym on septmeber 20th. I am in my last year of mech. engineering so I dont have much time for anything but school as it is. Stress (ex-gf, school, work, etc.) makes colitis worse, and I miss a two weeks or so of gym time during midterms (late october), end of term (late november), but I forced myself to go to the gym during exams (I feel it has really helped me physically and mentally) - however I am not completely please with my progress.... you guys can be the judge.

Btw, between restricting my diet and adding more protien, I am currently down to 153lbs shown in the last current pics, I reccently cut out all soda, juice and started drinking water mostly and I've started losing weight again... the only real number progress I can give you guys is that I started at 25lbs overhead press 8 reps, 3 sets :)mamoru:) and I'm now at 55lbs almost a full 3 sets of 8 reps.

:cliffs: how am I doing? ~3-4 months worth of working out

    I am around 5' 7" btw

I don't get why people make comments like this, it's not like he's at the point where he needs to start worrying about weak points

I should explain.... I'm not dieting, I am on a restricted diet from colitis, I can't eat a lot of the stuff I used to eat. I'm still adjusting my diet, its just hard being at school 8-12 hours a day and eating healthy, I was on a whey protien and rice milk (not allowed dairy) but it started irritating my stomach so i had to stop. Also, sometimes I eat and dosent get digested properly so its a struggle, but I'll eat more and push harder then post pics in another few months. thanks for the feedback.

I have the exact same problem. Whey protein hydrolyzed (partially digested) worked better for me than regular protein.

LOL!!! I know a powerlifter that went from 240 to 300 in 6 months by drinking 1 ensure with every meal(Oh, and a shitload of test and anadrol). I knew alot of old school guys that swear by the stuff for weight gain.

Thanks, this is the response I was hoping for - I will look into it. I've alrady been through three diff brands of whey, the one im on now is a bit better... but still not that great... any sort of flavour like vanilla seems bad, I'm looking for the rawest form I can find right now.

I've tried "nutrament" and another one, all of those meal replacements seem to be dairy based and worked out really bad for me...

taking progress pictures is apparently very bad for the flash function of a camera...they always seem to break towards the end :mamoru:
