Pre-Cardio meal/snack

    What do you guys eat before a run?

    Before a medium distance run (3-4 miles), I don't eat anything. It's not that I believe it'll burn more fat or whatever, it just feels better for me (don't like the feeling of all that food in my stomach). Before a sprint or interval session, I'll have a couple handfuls of kaishi cereal an hour prior, and then a serving of scivation xtend right before. Keep in mind that this is a boxing regimen for a fighter cutting weight, and may not be the best for a bodybuilding type trying to preserve as much lean muscle as possible.

    I thought all your parents allowed you to eat was rice anyway?

    As long as I eat what they make for lunch and dinner, they don't really care what I eat the rest of the day.

    i dont eat before cardio...it helps me to last longer.

    if i do eat it makes me kinda tired and full feeling and i lose motivation to run.

    After reading some stuff here about burning muscle during morning cardio im going to start eating one can of tuna about 30mins before I run.

    Eat tuna, stretch, abs, run, shower, slimfast (or whey protein drink soon)

    Before that I always went on empty stomach because running sucks with food in your belly and I always thought no energy in your stomach meant your body burnt fat stores.
