theres alot of misinformation out there about how stds are contracted, i'm just wondering about the risks of oral sex, particuarly in one-niters, or hook-ups.

I mean i'm always a little paranoid, but what pracautions should be taken, oral is obviously safer than full sex, but i know alot of diseases can be contracted.

I'd like everyone to share the info they have on the topic

bacterial infections are very easy to spread, but also fixable and easiily prevented via condoms. gonherrea can be spread oraly, as can herpes. herpes can be spread while in remisson and even with a condom. hiv is not easily transmitted through hetero sex, nor through oral assuming you dont have cuts/bleading gums or they have open sores. however, the risk is still there, and do you really want to take it?

bc increases the chance a girl can get a bacterial infection.

gonehrea is very ease to spread from male to female orally. herpes can go either way through oral.
