Subject says it all. First, I was at Bass Pro Shops yesterday (5/21) evening. They actually had a good selection of rifle ammo, including the 200rd boxes of Remington UMC .223 cal. One thing sorely lacking was handgun ammo. More than totally empty, but not much. The only 9mm was some +P. I guess people think it's a different bullet and won't fit their non +P pistol or something... so I snagged a box, along with some 00 buckshot and some .223 Ballistic Silvertips (they were on sale, what can I say?). There's still a sign imposing a 2-box limit on handgun ammo (no such limit or rifle/shotty). Anyway, so to my question. I was about to pick out some slugs, and I notice Remington has both sabot and rifled. I recently bought an unchoked Remington 12ga., so I'm sure it would fire both, but what's the PRACTICAL difference between the two? Thanks.
