    Benchpress

    Warmup: 45x10
    135x10
    225x10

    Unchartered territories:
315x1 (went up really ugly but quick)
325x1 (went up nice and smooth)
    330xfail (next time!)
    225x13 (to failure)

About 9 weeks ago I was maxxing out at about 225x11 and 295x1. I was stuck at this for months. My dad suggested a new routine for us try.

My dad also was on this routine. He started off with a max about 225. Ended up doing 225x6 250x2.

    Routine: http://www.bigcat844.com/bench-workout.html

And today was the first day I started taking Redblast too. :noes:

Year and a half progress pics possibly coming soon too.

if you were going for a PR, that's way too much warm up.

    45x15, 135x5, 225x3, 275x1, 315x1, etc.

probably coulda hit more if you hadnt done so much volume first.

    good job anyhow.

Maybe. But the routine has me doing alot of volume so I think my body has gotten used to it. Next time Ill try your advice and try for 330 and then do max reps of 225. Hopefully 16 :x:

Just got 330! :wiggle: But failed to get 225x16. Next time i will do it fresh! I took my camera with me to the gym but it didnt capture the 330. :wtc: But I did get my 225x14 though.

some leg drive, an arch and pinning your shoulder blades back would probably get you another 30 lbs.. you look like that weight was candy, son!

on my 330, i had to give it my all, it took about 10 seconds for it to get up. i wasnt paying attention but i prolly was using leg drive and arching my back.

and how do my elbows look?

I wasnt able to do it that well 8 weeks ago. You should consider trying that routine. It has done lots for my and my dads bench. (he did 275 today )
