What do you guys think about roadbiking while training for powerlifting meets. I am an avid cyclist and riding season is starting again. I am also very into powerlifting and I am currently training for my next meet. I am always sure to eat sufficient food and do not ride to lose weight or anything just for general physical fitness and to build endurance. Is this going to hinder my strength gains? I don't plan on getting all too crazy. Maybe 10-15 mile rides during the week and one 20-30+ mile ride on the weekends.

 is this serious? so youre a powerlifter and cyclist?? it doesnt work dude all endurance training that youre doing is taking away from your strength and vice versa. youll always be mediocre at both

It'll hinder strength, but that doesn't mean you still can't lift weights and get stronger.

Thats taking things to extremes.. hardcore cyclists ride what I ride a week in a day. Its 1hr tues/thurs and like 2hrs sat or sun at a slow pace (13-14mph avg over terrain). I sure it will effect my training.. I'm just trying to figure out if its going to be a little detrimental or severly detrimental.

Nice my training partner is trying to get me a titan shirt from his friend. I'm also looking and squeezing myself into a hardcore (currently using a old/oversized Z-Suit). Not sure if I wanna get a deadlift suit or not. I also need better shoes to squat and pull in.

That's no fun. I can no longer rub the fact that I have a 46 in your face anymore.

I may bite the bullet and get a custom shirt this summer if I end up working full time. Then I'll have something that actually fits me

I don't think it would hurt if you kept your mileage low. Maybe try some track or crits where the sports don't necessarily hinder each other as long as you aren't going for being gigantic.

It's a shame they cost that much more. I think it was gonna be like 150 at a minimum for my measurements plus open back/velcro

    Have you ever tried denim?
