I know it's no Katrina but it's windy as fuck here. Every time I go out to smoke the cars are all closer to the end of the parking lot. It is pretty crazy.

I see that, I'm just trying to figure out why he would be outside smoking in winds powerful enough to move a car.

Nicotine... it's a helluva drug. Yea the winds out there get strong enough to push the 5 tons around when the shit really hits the fan, uncle just said that THAT is some scary shit when ur the safety officer rolling around in one makin sure that everyone got in a shelter. esp if ur driver is a young lancie not used to drivin one in shit like that. The stories I hear from Oki, damn I need to go only if if its to see guys rollin around in R34s and Soarers

Yeah the Skyline thing over here is pretty cool, you almost never see a civic but R34s are a dime a dozen.

And yeah, in the typhoon condition we're in now we have to wear a flak and kevlar just to go outside and smoke.

Nabi wasn't even that bad, but a good typhoon hasn't really hit Okinawa in awhile.

Overall it wasn't bad at all. I was just impressed with the winds. We're back to TC4 (lowest typhoon watch condition) and they still haven't let up yet.

Yeah. Lived in Okinawa for 5 years. Was on Camp Lester. All the buildings are concrete. The power lines are underground. I don't think we ever lost power during the typhoons we had.. and we had at least 10 of them while I was there.
