powerbook Ti taking a crap

    any other PB Ti users experiencing extreme slowdowns and frequent crashing?

    time to nut up and get a damn mb pro.

    Opinion: new o:ugh:r refurb?

    I had a refurb mac mini a while back, it was perfect.

    You could also try doing a clean install of OS X if you haven't done that in about a year or two. It always helps.

    actually, never have wiped it. guess it's time to backup.

    any app recommendations for maintenance? macjanitor, etc...

    I'd just wipe it. Those maintenence programs seem to only work if you do them regularly from the start.

    Just borrow an external HD, drag all your music/ photos/ videos to it, and then reinstall the OS and all your applications (or you could try to keep your apps too, but i find it easier to just re-install them)...

    Oh, and don't forget to save your bookmarks :eek3:
