Can you put those mini CDs into PowerBook CD drive? Or is it big no no?
definitely a big no-no.
the short answer is no, the long answer is if you have an early revision TiBook, you could've... they took away the functionality with a later drive revision (possibly a vendor switch).
Outside of referencing revisions / serial numbers, the quick way to check to see if a PowerBook is able to accept mini CDs is to put a regular size CD in and see where the drive tries to capture it and take it in. If the CD is more than 1/2 to 2/3 of the way in the slot before it is grabbed, then it's a big no on smaller discs. If the drive grabs the full CD within 1/3 of the way in, it *should* be a drive that was designed to take mini CDs, but don't blame me if you fuck up your computer there may well have been a reason they switched those drives out. However, I do know that they were able to take and read mini CDs.
what useful information is on a mini-cd anyway
Nope. Not on a PowerMac either. I have a Sony Mavica 4 MPx camera that burns the picture onto mini disc. Needless to say, the Macs will not read the disc at all, even with the adapter that makes it the size of a full disk.
I have few songs on this little CD that I like...
