Ever since I became aware of powerblocks 5 years ago, I've wanted to try them. 3 years ago my building gym had them and I got my chance. I loved them; I even wanted to steal them when I moved, but the SO wouldn't let me :wtc:.

They're pricey as all hell, but I found a deal on CL yesterday and pulled the trigger. I don't want to shell out $99 or $129 for their branded metal pedestal.

What alternative solutions have other OTFN PB owners found?

    Thank you!

if they're on the carpet, they sink into the carpet and i have to dig the setter out or lift the block to pull or insert the setter. if they're on hardwood or tile, i have to lift or tilt the block to insert the setter near the bottom.

i find them a pain to switch if they're set on the floor. the pedestal was perfect since it exposed the entire side of each block for easy pull and re-insertion of the metal prong setter.

edit: rereading my post, i guess any square column-like structure would do...

Just build you a little platform out of something. If you can weld, find you some scrap and build a stand.

I never used these, but I love my iron master set, I got them as a package with the stand, works great for extra plates and for assembling / disassembling.
