I'm trying to get my form down. When i'm bringing the weight up I find myself bouncing or skipping me bar of my quads. Like the bar is a classy lady and i'm humping her.

is this a correct way to get the bar up? It DOES seem to help me get the bar up, but i dont wanna move on using incorrect form.

you should be touching bar to quads, but moreso a 'brush' than bouncing off

This is why the olympic guys chalk up their quads. It does help get the bar up, but it doesn't help your athletic or muscular development. If you're trying to clean the most weight possible, then it's useful.

Do you mean you are using the bounce off your legs as the main point of power to getting the weight up?

Well, it definately helps at the beginning when i start with the hang at the knees. But with pretty lightweight while i get my formdown. I imagine as i get heavier , the "bounce" wont help me at all.
