I have a set of silver rims right now with polish lip, I want to have black spokes with silver rivets and polish lip instead. I'm thinking powdercoat the rims but I heard you have to coat the whole rims when doing powdercoating, is that ture? also if I want to get it painted, is it possible to have a glossy black paint like the paint that's on the exteriors?

    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Your best bet it to call around to shops in your area that do powder coating. I am sure they can answer all your questions. This forum is more for detailing than paint and body.

You can mask off areas of the rim you don't want coated. You need to be careful of the shop you choose, as you are heating the wheel up to 500-600 degrees to get the pc to flow properly and come out clean.

You can opt for paint, but be prepared for repainting every so often. If you do track days often, you will have issues with a standard paint.
