Does that help with pictures of your famiry?
I have one similar to this. Functions well, but is on the cheap side for sure.
I had one of those. What a piece of shit.
That looks like MacGuyver's Stroboframe.
I dont see the advantages of these. I just use a BBC, or OC flash. Am i missing something?
I dont have a bracket but I do love those hot shoe clamps. I bought 2 of them and although for what they are, they are expensive, the lock in a flash on my stands beautifully. highly reccomend
what happens when you take a vertical picture and a flash is on the shoe?
No, i know that it casts a shadow, but using a better bounce card, or off camera flash fixes this without the need of that heavy ass frame.
better bounce might help soften the shadow, but its still side directional and the catchlights will be offputting.
off camera is always the way to g,o when its possible.
Im starting to not like it
I like mine just fine though if I could have I would have built my own. I priced out the materials and I couldn't build it for the price I paid.
I have a small machine shop at my house and usually save a lot of money by making stupid hunks of metal with holes in them, but this time I had to deal with weight and light metals get expensive very fast.
i try off-camera as much as possible, but soft directional shadows suck in portrait mode
THAT thing is being strapped to my old 20D?
