    Tokina 10-17 and Sigma 10 are probably OK alternatives for you but the nikon 10.5 is better than both.

    you can usually find the 10.5 on CL floating around for $500.

    The novelty will wear off quickly, trust me. It's a cool lens to use/get but make sure you have the rest of the range covered first.

    BTW, this is the only true fisheye for a crop sensor besides the Sigma alternative and the Tokina 10-17 fisheye zoom. The rest are pure crap. Get a wide angle instead (Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, Tokina 12-24 f/4, or Sigma 10-20)
