It was an x86 cluster server of dual P3 spec new...its now a dual 3.2 Xeon homebrew box, runs windows. Everything there is used for motion graphics, vfx, video & production work. It's what I do :)

It and the desk are Anthro :naughty:
Top down is a networked PDU, M Omnistudio USB, Roland JV-1080 synth, 2TB of FW800 disks, room for my AJA IO that missed that picture :( The SGI 4U (Dual 3.2 Xeon, lots of RAM, SCSI, etc.) and the DC 2.3 G5.

I blew it on the G5 though....there was a marathon rack kit for it up on craigslist locally and i was too slow :madfawk: It put it in the rack vertically...on rails, bolted in and all that, and next to it either a 2nd (room for my 2nd G5 or forthcoming Mac Pro) or a 4U insert I could put disks and the Video iO in, etc. SOOOOO pisssed that I missed it :wtc: It works on the shelf, as is, but it has to be behind the rails...meaning to work on it i have to dick around, turn it funkly like and extract it from the side of the rack. Stupid apple just had to make them slightly too big to fit the rack EVERYONE uses.

    PDU comes from these:

which provide enough grunt to keep the ~975W rack (with all procs loaded) up for over 2 hours..and that's on tired batteries, spec is around 5 hours :eek3:
