its an SMS widget. it lets you txt from your dashboard to pretty much any phone. it is sweet, it syncs with your address book and does some other cool stuff.

i find dashboard to be a waste of resources. i have found one widget that is useful and i remember to use. i only use it 5 months out of the year too. lol.

word. who sits in dashboard? it's a neat concept, but useless. after snowboarding season ends, i remove the one widget i use and quit dashboard and it doesn't get opened again until november.

EDIT: anything i could really see myself doing in dashboard, i do in quicksilver twice as quickly.

I only use Dashboard to check my local weather and see what events are coming up in the iCal widget.

I use the translator a lot, and the unit converter. The blue square is a stuck pixel fixere that doesn't seem to be working quite yet :hs: :o

The espn widget is used a lot too.

it depends how you have it set up. it can either say your email, or your phone's email ([email protected] or whatever your carrier is)
