so what exactly is a good meal for post workouts, because in the article it really didn't specify any type of food, just protein one hour after.

I've been having a protein shake about 20 minutes after workout and an omelette (47g of protein) + 2 pieces of toast (6g).

Depends if you're trying to gain weight or lose fat

ya, good point. I'm in a phase where I'm bulking but I feel like I'm gaining more fat than muscle so I'm taking it slower with a cleaner bulk. Although, my lifts are still increasing, if not increasing better than before. I was just wondering if the whey right after the work out was effective timing or not, and if my omelette is a good choice of food for post workout meals.

whey is good for right afterward.

i think youd want to watch the fat in the cheese/grease of the omlette though if its right after lifting.
