Here is a previous setup of mine in my 1995 mitsubishi galant.
Looks like a clean install
I like the plexiglass showing off the subwoofers.
thanks, anyone else got any setups? Home or car?
this was my last install (apr 2002) after that i got lazy and never finished
Mine is nothing to brag about, but I am gonna throw some up here once I find a digital camera.
Would have looked nice finished I bet
Mine isn't really anything fancy, but here you go:
nice and clean car set up veonake, i also like the home system 2, coolness.
Thanks. I plan on swapping all the power wires for clear-silver wire (positive and negative) and hiding them. Also, the blue RCA wire going to the right I want to hide as well. Preferably, no wires would be seen, but the JL amp doesn't have a cover like the Polk does, so it can only go so far.
2 12" MTX 8000 (400-800w) in a custom sealed down fire box.
Xtant 603 for mids and highs
Xtant 1001x for the subs
Audiobahn 4x10s for the rear pillars (100w)
Audiobahn 6.25s for the doors + 1" tweets (100w)...these blew w/n 2 weeks.
upgraded to Boston Pros 5.25 + tweets (200-400w)...HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!!
Eclipse CD8443 cd/mp3
Monster Cap and 4gauge Monster cable
Duh! lol. Get rid of that audiobahn stuff. It is out of place being mixed in with Eclipse and Boston Acoustics.
Only pics i have right now. New install is under construction. Lots of image dynamics stuff going in fiberglass
Nice 8053. I'm thinking about selling my 5444 to buy one.
you need the voice commander to really enjoy it.
save you money and get the new 8455 or the 8445...BAD ASS headunits.
I think I like the look of the 8053 more than the new head units. Why would I need the voice commander to enjoy it? What features does that add?
i know i sure as hell dont.
mp3 playback is the biggest advantage. but also allow voice commands and other a/v equipment to played thru the unit. i heard (HEARD) that you can hook up a switchbox to it...for airride/hydros...not sure about that one, but...
it sux, bc its like 130 bucks or something like that.
mp3's are disgusting
lol. I never use the mp3 functionality of my CD5444, and I have no desire for voice activated controls. My only desire is a good cd player (check), aux input (check) and ultra high quality sound outputs (check). My 5444 has 5volt preouts, but I'd love to hear what the 8053 sounds like.
Here's my setup in my 03 gmc sierra
