Lately I've been a lot more keen to lighting in movies. Today I watched Max Payne, and though the movie was alright, the lighting really amazed me. Some scenes were lit so well it made me wanna go out and shoot.

Found a few shots from it but nothing that does it justice

What are some movies that you specially liked the lighting in?

I saw this today and thought the same thing. Also the use of the snow caught my eye.

I really liked the use of lighting in the movie Humbolt County. Nothing spectacular, but I liked how they used it when the characters became "enlightened" (ie. baked). I just remember really digging it when I watched it, then again, I was a little "impaired" at the time, so that might have contributed to that as well.

Sweeney Todd had some excellent lighting.... Really you can count on any Tim Burton flick for nice lighting.

I was gonna post this same thing! I loved the lighting in Sweeney todd. And it used a very muted coloring that I know is up your alley. I also loved how if you pay attention the rule of thirds is adhered to practically then entire movie

The Fifth Element comes to mind. Combination of great lighting and very vivid colors:

Not so much lighting, but Baraka on blu-ray is quite an experience.

you want amazing watch road to perdition, or anything conrad hall shot.
