im looking to change my style of basketball shorts and and white t-shirts. im looking for casual clothes, dress and clothes to wear when im chillin with some friends. the only thing i dont like is preppy and goth. I want to look like I actually care about the way I look, that would help with the women, so please help!

i usually wear jeans and a sweat shirt or nice t shirt, it all really depends on how you feel in the clothing you choose, some people cant pull some styles off, if you have a good girl friend (a friend whos a girl) take her with you and have her help, thats what i do every time because i have no sense of fashion haha

What is your build? If you are thin or athletic, you should check out H&M's button up dress shirts that say "slim fit" on the tag. Slim fit shirts are tapered (wide shoulders and narrow waist) so that they look good not tucked in, and if you do tuck them in, they don't get all poofy at the waist like most dress shirts do. It's been my experience that most dress shirts are made for larger people who need more circumference around the waist. That's why when skinny people tuck their dress shirts in, a lot of the time they get all poofy around the waist.

So not only does H&M rule for having slim fit shirts, but they're around $30-40 each. Try going to Banana Republic and buying a shirt there: not only is it not athletically tapered, but it will be like $78 ftl.

My shoulders are much wider than my waist, and like 80% of my work shirts (business casual) came from H&M.

edit - They look good untucked, too, so you can wear them to the club if you want.

learn to tuck with a pair of folds inthe back of your shirts. it'll taper the waist and take the 'poof' out.

That works well if you're wearing a jacket or something over top of it.

It also doesn't work if you don't want the shirt tucked in.

Mannequins usually have the shirts safety pinned in the back, so from the front it looks tapered and you think "awesome! That shirt will fit well!" But then you try it on and realize it's wide like everything else.

looks fine if it's nicely folded and tucked :dunno: My father has always been narrow in the waist and wide itneh shoulder so tucking and folding his shirts in the back has always been how he's warn them and he always looks neat and well dressed even with out the jacket.

but yes, if youa re goign to wea a shirt untucked go for the slim cut.

    ! :)

Anyways, I'm a much slimmer build as well. I weight in around 115 at 5 foot 5.5.

The only places I can really find cloths that fit at the moment are American Eagle and Pac Sun both of which started making "Extra Small" mens woot!.

In general try to stick away from stores like JCPenny and Sears that sell everything and into a designer store a little bit more ( this does not mean you need to go to the expensive as fuck ones like Diesel and The Buckle where shirts are $90 a piece ).

I spend roughly 30-40 for a button like shirt, and 35-45 for a pair of jeans. I never really wear anything but polo's, or collared casual shirts. If I am in a tshirt i'll normally have a blazer or hoodie with it.

And hats are good in the appropriate time of year, but if you're in HS they make you take it off anyway.

been there, tried that didn't work.

I have a massive metabolism rate. I can eat around 4000-6000 calories a day without gaining an ounce currently. I have no want to really gain any weight except perhaps to fill out my arms a bit more the rest of my body is poportionally right.
