I've been doing my moderate to high intensity cardio late, after work (usually 7ish or 8ish for anywhere from 30-60 minutes).

I'm about to switch to HIIT now since I'm in better shape, and need to accelerate the weight loss.

Presently I'm drinking whey shakes after cardio. Should I be eating any post-cardio recovery foods? Especially given how late it is? What do you guys think?

I just make sure and rehydrate, thats about it except for maybe getting some carbs to replenish glycogen stores and shit.

Well if I was gonna be lifting later in the day I'd prefer to have a little gas in the tank.

Glycogen is good for muscular endurance purposes :o and if your calories are less than maintenance, you'll still lose weight, carbs or no carbs.

I never had an issue with it during standard more weights/machine cardio. It's only really been a factor for me now that I'm really focusing on the running- really started noticing once my long runs got over 7-8 miles.
