Please learn me on Canon's recent bodies. I rock a 20D currently and told myself that I wasn't upgrading until I could afford a 5Dmk1 but it looks like I might be getting hooked up, albeit not with a "5D budget"... :hs: Deal is, we use 350Ds at work, one finally crapped out so we need another one. I talked the boss into "buying" my 20D and I'm going to go in too and make up the difference.

I'd really hate to go back to a "Rebel" body, but theres so many of them out now, I don't know if any of them are worth a second glance?

    450D - Don't think I'm interested...
    1000D - WTF is this?
    T1i - Again, WTF?

40D - what I'll more than likely end up with.

Used 40D's are cheap as fuck right now and a damn good camera. If you're limited on budget that's what I'd do.

    Sub $1000.

Not buying used, 40D seems like the clear winner here, just wanted a heads up on the other bodies.

If you can spend a little over your 1k, you probably could find a used 5D somewhere. It might have seen its fair share of clicks though..

Id say get a 40D and call it a day.

Yeah, I've been watching their pricing drop and there's some ridiculous deals every now and then but I think for this deal to work I'd have to buy new, so that's out the window. :wtc:

I'm sure going from shooting a 20D for 3+ years to a 40D would hold me over until I was financially ready to grab a used 5D. :sad2:
