Amazing Fantasy 15. I have a dilemma though- I want to take it out of the case and read/actually feel the comic. Is it better for me to get a non-graded copy?

If it's already CGC graded, don't take it out. Period. I don't care if it's the end of the world. If there's any chance that it'll stay preserved, like if you were to toss your body over it during a grenade blast, then by all means, preserve it. If you find the urge to "touch it" again, commit suicide.

I'd also find an ungraded copy.

I'll trade you my entire collection for it. Then you won't have to worry anymore.

    Edit: Pics or Ban.

I think I'll look for ungraded. I just like to be able to open the vintage books from time to time and smell the pages, feel the old paper.

How about I trade you every damn book in my collection for that one of yours and you can feel hundreds of thousands of old pages?

 Thanks. I decided not to go with the CGC AF15. I'll find one that's in decent and ungraded shape.

I decided on a copy of Amazing Spiderman #1 instead. Not CGC'ed so I can pop it open from time to time.

Yeah, CGC just jacks up the price anyhow.

That's how I feel about it- basically, I'm in it for fun, not (necessarily) for investment.

I don't really have any use for old socks that are all crusty

Seriously, What do you have in your closet? I love old books even if they're nothing particularly popular-like old issues of obscure horror books- Amazing Adult Fantasy, etc.

I have 1500+ books in my closet. I'll trade them all for your Amazing fantasy #15 and Spider-man #1. If you're serious, I'll catalog them all.

Guide value on a nm ASM #1 is $27,000, Amazing Fantasy #15 in nm is $32,000.

Deal fell through on ASM1-fuck! Gonna focus on AF15 instead, but non-CGC.
