Hi, I was wondering whether it is possible to resize java applets.

I saw something similar here at:

    aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyc...ry/Geometry.html[IMG]

It allows you to resize the sphere within the applet, but not the applet itself.

I googled this question and got some responses.

    www.devx.com/tips/Tip/13645[IMG]
    blog.taragana.com/index....n-browser-frames[IMG]
    www.javaworld.com/javawo...w-javatip80.html[IMG]

They all show source code of possible implementations of this, but no working demos. So I am a bit wary, because anyone can just write some code and post it online.

Also I tried putting the source code from the blog(the second one), it seems it works by dynamically resizing the applet when the user resizes his/her browser. Thus if the user clicks on maximise, the applet will resize in proportion to the new area of the maximised browser. This is not what I want. I want to allow the user complete freedom in resizing their java applets, not just when they change the size of their browser.
