I just moved to Oregon from the east coast, and am looking at getting some tattoo work done. Can anyone recommend any shops? I prefer the Portland area since that's where i live, but i'd be willing to drive to Seattle. Already checked out Slave to the Needle, but looking for other suggestions as well.

I'm Seattle, I have all of mine done by the same guy. I basically follow him around - sometimes at his house, sometimes at his shop - he was at Lynwood tattoo but I don't really know anything about the place, he's now at a shop way up north.

Seattle Tattoo Emporium - only been there once, cool guys, simple tat
Laughing Buddha - went there years and years ago for my first tattoo, can't say it's a bad place but never been back
Slave to the Needle - great place, kinda spendy

I know it's not much but I thought I'd share since you haven't had any other responses.

The Tattoo shop within Grade A peircing on the outskirts of gresham is great. as long as you are not looking for text work. he mainly does things that are artistic.
